Do you have another half that just doesn't get it?
When you live with someone who doesn't share your views, it can be incredibly draining.
Only, that is, if you let it.
When we're excited about something, we expect others to share our excitement. But there's actually no reason as to why they should. Including your other half.
What I want you to do is pull back and remember the bigger picture.
Why did you get involved in this business in the first place? I mean the real, underlying reason. What is your end goal and does that match theirs? And are you doing your best to live that life now?
There is no point in working every hour you can in order to provide a better life for you and your family to then turn round to discover they've left because you were never there.
Plus, talking with somebody who has a different opinion is a great way of improving what you do and how you do it.
Listen to what they actually have to say and seek to gain a new perspective. Sometimes this can push you in new directions and sometimes it just keeps you grounded.
Instead of trying to change your other half, celebrate the differences and be grateful for a countering point of view.
That way you truly can be stronger together.
