Specific Intention of an Individual Meeting
The meetings are not focussed on answers and solutions. It's not about finding a 6 step action plan to get what you want.
Not that we have an issue with answers, but it's actually quite a short time that we'll be together here and, if we can give answers to your problems in that time, then they can't have been big problems.
Also, if we put an expectation on discovering solutions, it creates pressure, which hinders the creative process.
Instead, we want you to start thinking about things differently, get a different perspective on situations and to continue that thought process after we've finished.
Without being attached to finding solutions we can explore a better quality of question - which may take longer to resolve but, ultimately, will be of more value.
General Meeting Structure and How To Get Involved
The general meeting structure is that the facilitator introduces a thought, question or exercise - within the context of the designated theme of the meeting - and then we explore and discuss things and see where it goes.
If you're unsure where or how to participate, be on the look out for three things.
1 A question you may have so that you can better understand what is going on or provide a different point of view.
2 A story or insight you've gained that you may want to share which could help someone else in the group gain better understanding.
3 Or you may have a current issue or situation of your own that you would like to explore better and which the group can help with.
Engage at the level you feel comfortable and remember we've all signed the confidentiality agreement.
DEFINITIONS
“Breathing Spaces”
Breathing Spaces is a trading name of More Than Just Money CIC and is the collective name for all the monthly meetings that are held, each one of which is known as a Breathing Space. A Breathing Space is made up of like minded business people and it a place where they can openly discuss what is needed to be successful and enjoy business at the same time. Each month there is a theme upon which the discussion is based and that theme is one of the stages of the Business Enjoyment Model. The theme will be the same each month for all meetings.
“Business Enjoyment Model”
The 6 levels of the Model are Feeling Safe, Find Your Tribe, Inner Confidence, Find Your Purpose, Money Hangups and Enjoy Your Business.
To find out more about the Business Enjoyment Model read “More Than Just Money”, if not already done so.

1 Mission and Purpose of Breathing Spaces
1.1 To build a community of people keen to understand themselves and their business better – and willing to help others with their understanding. All within the ethos of the Business Enjoyment concept, that success is about more than just money.
2 Levels of Membership
2.1 Any request to vary membership level is to be made with the Space Holder.
2.2 Groups may be run at a physical venue or online.
2.3 Online groups will be capped in size at 8 members and physical groups will be capped at 20 members. Each member will be attached to a particular group and will, ideally, attend that group each month.
2.4 There are no discounts or refunds for anyone who misses a meeting.
2.5 The ability to visit a group other than the one a member has been attached to and the level to which they can interact with that group will depend on the level of their membership and, without exception, at the discretion of the Member Host of that group.
Basic Membership - £25 a month
2.6 A Basic Member is entitled to regular attendance of their allocated group.
2.7 They will also be given the opportunity to purchase tickets for any Member Only Networking Events that are held from time to time as well as access to any Member Only online groups that may be created.
2.8 If unable to make a regular meeting one month, a Member may request to visit an alternative group that month for an administration fee of £5 (subject to availability).
2.9 A Member may transfer their attachment to another group for a transfer fee of £30 (subject to availability).
Advanced Membership - £50 a month
2.10 As above but Advanced Members will also be entitled to a catch up call with their Space Holder once a month.
2.11 Lasting around 30 minutes, it is to provide quick guidance and accountability for any situations that may be arising for the member.
2.12 Calls not taken do not roll over to the next month but are lost.
2.13 If unable to make a regular group meeting, an Advanced Member may request to visit an alternative group that month. No administration is fee to be paid for Advanced Members.
Platinum - £125 a month
2.14 A Platinum Member will get an Unlimited Passport, allowing them to visit as many groups in the month as they wish with no administration fee being applied but, as ever, at the discretion of the relevant Member Host.
2.15 A Platinum Member may change allocated group once with no transfer fee being applied (subject to availability).
2.16 The Platinum Member will be entitled to 5 one-to-one coaching sessions with their Space Holder each calendar year. The details on how those meetings are to be held, the content and the structure of those meetings are to be agreed between the Member and the Space Holder.
2.17 Each meeting must take place at least 6 weeks apart.
2.18 Meetings not used are lost and the balance resets each calendar year.
2.19 The Space Holder will pro-rata the allocation for any member joining part way through the year, rounded up or down to a round figure as agreed with the Member.
2.20 Platinum Members will also be provided with a link allowing them to schedule a 15minute laser coaching session with their Space Holder. They can book as many calls as they wish subject to the availability of the Space Holder and continued membership.
3 Member Conduct in Meetings
3.1 There is a common intention in each group that all the members are there to help each other and all interactions should be conducted under the basic principles of love, kindness and respect.
3.2 No member will be forced to share information that they do not wish to share.
3.3 At the same time, each member is here to be pushed, challenged and sometimes made to feel uncomfortable in order to grow and develop.
3.4 Consequently, individual members must take responsibility for their reaction to any comments or feedback they receive and see that reaction as an opportunity to learn more about themselves.
3.5 It is also the responsibility of individual members to communicate their current state of mind – for example, if they're feeling weak and vulnerable and just need a ‘virtual hug’ rather than challenge.
3.6 Other members should respect those wishes as best they can but, for the avoidance doubt, responsibility for any reaction remains with the individual.
3.7 If there is any disagreement or clash of opinion, then this will be seen as an opportunity for both parties to learn.
3.8 Each meeting is about the Members and not the Space Holder. The Space Holder is there to facilitate the conversation, not take responsibility for the personal situation of each member.
3.9 Each group is entitled to create it's own agreements about conduct and permissions and how those agreements are managed and policed. Any repercussions following from those agreements will be a matter between Members only.
4 Member Conduct out of Meetings
4.1 Any queries about the meeting (for example, but not limited to, future dates, attendance challenges of any sort, how to access the group calls) is to be directed from the Member to their nominated Member Host.
4.2 Any desire to change level of membership or cease to be a member should be discussed with the relevant Space Holder.
4.3 There is no minimum membership term or official notification period required in order to cease membership.
4.4 Once notified, the Space Holder will make every effort to cancel the monthly payment. However, due to the practicalities of the GoCardless Direct Debit system, there becomes a point towards the end of the month where the next monthly payment cannot be prevented, in which case the Member is not entitled to a refund.
4.5 A leaving Member gains no particular rights by having been a member before. Re-admittance to Breathing Spaces will be on the same terms as any other individual that has never been a Member.
4.6 Breathing Spaces are an evolving and developing concept. Members are encouraged to make suggestions as regards changes to the format or structure, including ideas for topics to be discussed. Such suggestions should be passed through to their Member Host.
5 New Group Process
5.1 Any Member that would like a new group to be opened – for example, a physical group in their area or an online group at a specific time of day – should inform their Space Holder so that the new group launch process can then be implemented.
6 Confidentiality Agreement
6.1 All Members MUST agree to the Confidentiality Agreement.
7 Privacy Policy
7.1 The Standard Privacy Policy must be read by all members and either agreed to or rejected. Alternative wording suggestions are welcomed.
